The view of fit women in modern lingerie playing football seemed to have captured its target audience as Lingerie Football League (LFL) officials revealed that the second season of this unique sporting franchise will proceed as planned and the first game of the new season will take place in Houston, Texas.
The television coverage of the LFL this season has garnered strong television ratings and growing fan support which prompted the organizers to proceed with another season with bigger stakes and bigger coverage.
Lingerie Football League Founder and Chairman Mitchell Mortaza said that Friday Night Football will never be the same for the Texas State as another new football franchise enters the airwaves.
As of now, the officials are looking for possible venues on where to stage the competitions within the Houston metropolitan area. The LFL teams are exisiting in ten major cities in the U.S.
A beauty queen from Singapore was forced to relinquish her crown after reports surfaced that she had stolen credit cards in the past to go on a shopping spree, most specifically buying lingerie for herself.
Miss World Singapore 2009 Ris Low became a subject of public scrutiny after claims came out that she had stolen seven credit cards the past year while she was still working at a medical institution. During her work in the establishment, she’s been receiving credit card information from the client and using those data to her advantage during her shopping sprees.
The beauty queen has reportedly shopped lingerie amounting to a total of $6,400.
ERM World Marketing, the organizers of the local pageant, stated that Low decided to resign voluntarily. As a result, she will no longer represent the country in the Miss World beauty pageant which will take place in South Africa in December. The replacement is still being deliberated.
Underwear designer Dr. Raquel Borges has designed a corset that is specific to men, and it really works – according to those who have worn the item.
Being a trained medic, Borges knows how to design a corset that won’t be dangerous to the wearer. She had worked with plastic surgeons thus she was able to come up with the product after she got an idea from the clothing used by patients who had just undergone liposuction.
The 41-year old designer said that just like women, men also wants to hide their bulging tummies especially in formal occasions. She revealed that one of the customers wanted to wear a kilt during an event but could not do so because of the large tummy. However, after wearing the corset, he was able to fit in the kilt.
Before men start rushing to the nearest retail store, the price of the corset should be known first. The introductory price has been set at 75 British pounds.
Known for her artistic strip dances, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese revealed that in order to keep her modern lingerie in place during her performances, she used an extra-strong glue to secure all the items in place which avoid exposing too much of her skin.
She said that she uses the glue to keep the nipple tassels in place thus it won’t slip out of her breast whenever she does the famous giant martini glass dance, adding that crystal-decorated tassels are heavy and could easily slip off if she doesn’t do anything about it.

Such was the case for former Intimas Group chief executive Carol Duncumb who is now launching her very own lingerie brand named BeMyBra.
The lingerie line targets the teen, tween and early twenties market and will make a grand launch on August 16 to 18 during the Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition.
As of now, the line will focus on bras that come in different colors and straps. There are bras that have jewelry and centerpieces embedded and will be sold separately. Customers can easily customize their bras to their preference.
In an interview, Duncumb said that she decided to launch a brand for the younger market because other retailers are focusing more on the older market – mostly for young professional women who could afford buying high-end lingerie.
Duncumb served as Intimas Chief Executive for six years. As of now, she had signed up House of Fraser, Arnotts and Beales for distribution of her products to about fifty retailers in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The distributions can start as early as January next year. For now, Duncumb is working single-handedly in terms of managing her business.
Women’s sportswear company Moving Comfort has created a new trend in sports bras when it came out with a new line that is made out of recycled coffee grounds.
According to its press release, these coffee grounds are strategically placed in the cups of their sports bras. The explanation behind this is these effectively control moisture and control the odor.
In the recently concluded Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009 event, the company presented this new trend that attracted a lot of visitors, who also got free coffee lattes as well.
The three major designs displayed to the public were Venus, Vixen and Juno. These sports bras were specifically made for rigid sporting activities such as hiking, trail running and mountain biking.
For skeptics, the idea of having coffee grounds on an intimate apparel such as sports bras sound weird. However, there’s still no way for users to find out if it works or not since the products will become available for purchase by the spring of 2010.

Professional soccer player Brandi Chastain got reunited with her famous sports bra which she wore during the 1999 World Cup where United States won due to her successful fifth penalty kick that sealed the victory for her country against China.
The aforementioned sports bra was part of the seized items at the Sports Museum of America in New York City after the establishment filed for bankruptcy. The sports bra was loaned to the museum along with hundreds of other sports memorabilia.
In order for the lenders to get back the memorabilia, they were informed to pay $250 plus shipping fees. Early last week, Chastain finally got hold of the sports bra when she arrived to her San Jose home following a practice session with her professional team, the FC Gold Pride.
In an interview with US media, Chastain said that she made numerous phone calls and emails to whoever was in custody of the embargoed items. She said that it is very important for her to have the sports bra back because this is the tenth anniversary since the 1999 World Cup victory.
