Fine maternity lingerie provider Baci Lingerie is expanding its reach in the European market by securing lucrative deals with leading manufacturers in Austria.
Company’s Chief Executive Officer Robert Rosen said that they aside from signing up exclusive distribution contracts with a number of leading companies in the continent, the company has secured deals from direct competitors to become part of the “Affordable Luxury” strategy campaign.
Rosen said that they have reached an agreement with Austria-based merchandiser Beate Uhse to let the latter make Baci Lingerie a main lingerie bra among major stores in the country.
Stand alone stores that sell exclusive Baci Lingerie items are being planned for construction in the said country in the next couple of years, Rosen revealed.
Rosen said that they are still looking for potential new partners to further expand their operations and reach.

Fine maternity lingerie are reportedly becoming part of the Christmas shopping list among adults this year, a clear indication that despite the financial crisis, there’s still enough time for sizzling love among people. This observation was voiced out by lingerie giant Triumph.
Triumph expects a massive increase in sales this holiday season as shoppers are now ready to splurge out a bit from their hard earned money. They may have held on to their budget during the early parts of the year but this time, they can readily splurge on lingerie despite the hard times. Getting sexy can make someone feel better and look forward to a positive new year.
Triumph also announced that it will be giving part of the proceeds on sales of its special Christmas lingerie line to Tribute to Bambi Foundation, a non-profit children’s charity organization.
Destination Maternity, a popular maternity lingerie online and retailer store, reported late last week that its revenues dropped a little above ten percent for the month of June due to slower sales. Despite this development, the company is still expecting higher third quarter earnings as estimated.
The shares of the Philadelphia-based company also closed three percent higher despite the slightly disappointing news.
Net sales dropped to $41.3 million from $45.9 million from the same period last year. As expected, company CEO Ed Krell said that the decline on the sales of maternity lingerie and other underwear were due to the weak economy. Aside from that, Krell said that the changing weather (cool and wet) resulted to the decline in sales of summer clothing. This led for the company to decide to limit its promotions to control its inventory.
Krell revealed that the company has come up with measures to resolve the weak sales. The company’s 3rd quarter profit rose with each share costing 91 cents from 74 cents.
