Retail giant Wal-Mart will soon implement that installation of removable “smart tags” on underwear and jeans next month in a bid to improve its inventory tracking system. This development was reported by The Wall Street Journal.

The store staff can easily determine which sizes have been sold from the store’s shelves which in turn can make a report to have more items added in the stack.

Wal-Mart is optimistic that keeping the shelves well-stocked with this system can also reduce the instances of thefts made by employees.

Wal-Mart Executive Raul Vazquez said in an interview that the new system means that they can do their tasks with lesser time and in turn will increase productivity among the employees.

However, this move also received criticism from private groups, stating that these removable sensors could also mean that the malicious individuals or marketers can track the purchasers’ spending patterns.

The man behind modern lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret did not imagine that the business would become a global brand.

Leslie Wexner, the founder of The Limited, bought Victoria’s Secret – then a small chain in San Francisco more than three decades ago. By that time, the small company was headed into bankruptcy.

In the past, American women had been wearing popular brands such as Jockey, Fruit of the Loom and Hanes. However, with the emergence of television and fashion shows, Victoria’s Secret products have made its way in the medium and eventually in the global lingerie industry.

The company earned nearly $11 billion last year. Retail experts say that the lingerie giant has made department stores become more aggressive in promoting the products because of its high quality and reasonable pricing.

Wexner, now 73 years of age, continues to help the community by helping out. In the 90’s he gave more than $250 million to create the Ohio Higher Education Trust and other philanthropic activities.

A top air force official has been charged with two murders, two sexual assaults and massive thefts of lingerie in more than eighty houses.

Rapper 50 Cent has been sued by a woman who alleged that the artist edited himself into a sex tape they created and uploaded it over the internet.

Lastonia Levistone of South Florida filed the suit at the Manhattan Supreme Court and is seeking damages for the unauthorized use of her image and emotional distress.

According to Levistone, she made the tape with a certain Maurice Murray in June of 2008. She told him to destroy the tape which the latter agreed to do so. However, it was believed that Murray sold the tape to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

In the 13-minute video, Jackson allegedly made commentary on the sex act where Leviston was seen wearing white lingerie and her partner’s face has been blurred out.

A representative on the artist’s side has yet to issue an official statement regarding the lawsuit.

A counselor from a high school in Roseville, Minnesota has been suspended after he was allegedly seen purchasing lingerie for a teenager. The lingerie is of the kind that can be used for special occasions such as wedding night, among others.

A spokeswoman from the school district was quoted this week that the employee is now on paid administrative leave while the internal investigation is going on. The spokeswoman clarified that there are no charges filed yet to the suspect. However, two search warrant requests have already been filed in Ramsey County court.

According to reports, an unidentified citizen saw the counselor wearing a Roseville school badge buying a lingerie on February 11. A teenage woman was allegedly accompanying him during the shopping spree.

A school police officer then saw the surveillance video from the store and confirmed that the employee was indeed with a woman. The girl was an 18-year old school dropout.
