University Student Says Knickers Pay Off
A Management Sciences degree student at Southampton University has found a way to pay for her education by designing and selling knickers for women online.
Designer Estelle Puleston is currently in her final year in school and at a young age of 21, already has a flourishing business that she could expand once she graduates.
The young businesswoman revealed that whenever she’s not studying, she spends most of her time designing knickers, corsets and bras. She named her business as Esty Lingerie. In a story that echos the entrepreneurial nature of other lingerie companies with humble grass roots, Puleston hopes to continue her range through mail order and online retail.
Puleston said that she started her business after visiting Paris two years ago. She thought of earning money during her spare time. The move paid off.
The designer said that she’s always had the flair for designing and with continuous support from loyal and new customers, she was able to proceed with her business at the comfort of her office at the university house.
Puleston currently runs her own website and the products she sells are mostly her original creations. She revealed that she will come up with a summer collection later this year.
