Fashion designer sets a trend among top labels

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs is setting a trend that no other top labels have not dared to do. His company will become the first major fashion company to product a clothing and lingerie line that specifically caters to women that have body sizes of 14 and above.

Though this development still needs an official announcement from the company, Mac Jacobs President Robert Duffy said in his Twitter account that the company is currently in early stages of discussions to product the aforementioned line. He added that it might take a year before the new line will become available for purchase.

Duffy understands the struggle of women in buying larger-sized clothing. He said that he’s a big guy himself who also struggles in buying his clothes.

There has been a growing interest to launch clothing lines for fuller-figured women as sales figures revealed that this particular demographic is rarely touched but there’s a big revenue opportunity in this area.
