Multi-awarded fashion and lingerie designer Catalin Botezatu, who hails from Romania, is scheduled to feature his latest collection via his third appearance at the Couture Fashion Week in New York this coming September 11. The fashion show featuring his latest line dubbed as “Hot Rainbow” will be featured at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel at the Park Avenue.

Botezatu has been in the fashion business in 17 years, with his own fashion house still going strong after 13 years. He’s known for creating stylish designs and featuring them in fashion shows which he himself directs. He’s one of the most preferred designers among celebrities, entertainers, socialites and politicians. This is attributed to his fine taste for great fashion that captures the essence of every woman.

In his home country, Botezatu has claimed the “Designer of the Year” Award six years in the row by a Romanian magazine, not to mention his citation for Excellence in Fashion by Fashion TV Romania.

Aside from New York, the Romanian designer has featured his creations in countries such as Greece, Turkey, Spain, Canada, Namibia and South Africa.

Indeed there’s always life when you leave your old company.

Such was the case for former Intimas Group chief executive Carol Duncumb who is now launching her very own lingerie brand named BeMyBra.

The lingerie line targets the teen, tween and early twenties market and will make a grand launch on August 16 to 18 during the Harrogate Lingerie & Swimwear Exhibition.

As of now, the line will focus on bras that come in different colors and straps. There are bras that have jewelry and centerpieces embedded and will be sold separately. Customers can easily customize their bras to their preference.

In an interview, Duncumb said that she decided to launch a brand for the younger market because other retailers are focusing more on the older market – mostly for young professional women who could afford buying high-end lingerie.

Duncumb served as Intimas Chief Executive for six years. As of now, she had signed up House of Fraser, Arnotts and Beales for distribution of her products to about fifty retailers in Ireland and the United Kingdom.

The distributions can start as early as January next year. For now, Duncumb is working single-handedly in terms of managing her business.

Women’s sportswear company Moving Comfort has created a new trend in sports bras when it came out with a new line that is made out of recycled coffee grounds.

According to its press release, these coffee grounds are strategically placed in the cups of their sports bras. The explanation behind this is these effectively control moisture and control the odor.

In the recently concluded Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009 event, the company presented this new trend that attracted a lot of visitors, who also got free coffee lattes as well.

The three major designs displayed to the public were Venus, Vixen and Juno. These sports bras were specifically made for rigid sporting activities such as hiking, trail running and mountain biking.

For skeptics, the idea of having coffee grounds on an intimate apparel such as sports bras sound weird. However, there’s still no way for users to find out if it works or not since the products will become available for purchase by the spring of 2010.

Moving Comfort is optimistic that their new line will get favorable results from women who want to wear comfortable sports bras in their daily activities.

MGM Grand Macau Director of Sales Irene Wong said that it took them four months to organize this grand affair. She stressed that the wedding market is expanding in Macau and even in neighboring Hong Kong and overseas.

Aside from the bridal lingerie and accessories glimpsed by the attendees, several tables were set up with different themes which give the viewers the choices on what wedding banquet dinner packages to avail. Wong revealed that aside from having a perfect wedding, couples look forward to quality hotel service.
